Director of the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom David Schmidtz named Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar

Kendrick Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom David Schmidtz has been named a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar for 2014-2015.

Founded in 1776 and the nation’s oldest honorary academic society, Phi Beta Kappa annually selects several internationally distinguished professors from among both public and private universities and colleges to represent the high values of the society by visiting and participating in the academic life of host institutions where the scholar delivers public lectures on the his or her research program.
