Recent grad, Yi Zhao, headed to the University of Tokyo

Yi Zhao graduated from the University of Arizona's College of Social and Behavioral Sciences with a Bachelor's in Philosophy and two minors in Japanese and East Asian Studies in 2018. Zhao is headed to the University of Tokyo for a Master's degree on Global Society where he will be able to use his major in philosophy and minors to study globalization in an interdisciplinary program.

"The Graduate Program on Global Society (GSP) is dedicated to bringing together students from across the humanities and social sciences interested in studying, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the phenomena and practices that constitute the unfolding process of globalization. The program combines resources from multiple departments, institutes, and programs at the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, allowing students to benefit from access to courses and specialists across an array of disciplines, including Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, International Relations, Law and Development, Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion, Sociology, and more." – The Graduate Program on Global Society, University of Tokyo.

He was also accepted into the East Asian Master's programs at Washington University at St. Louis and George Washington University.
