A Priori, Brown University’s undergraduate journal of philosophy, is now accepting submissions for publication in its Spring 2019 issue.
The Journal is an annual review of the best essays from all branches of philosophy written by undergraduates across the globe. We aim to serve both undergraduate philosophy students, who hone their abilities for creative and critical thinking, and society at large, which invariably draws on philosophical ideas when making its most important decisions.
The Journal especially encourages submissions addressing topics on the margins of traditional analytical philosophy, including essays on philosophy of race, philosophy of gender, and non-Western philosophy. We are furthermore committed to highlighting the work of students from groups underrepresented in philosophy.
Please send your best essays, reflections, interviews, and articles to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 5st 2019. Authors whose work has been accepted will be notified by March 1, 2019. Submissions guidelines:
• Ideally, no more than 4,000 words
• Chicago-style bibliography and endnotes
• Include a title page with your name, college or university, and email address. Your name should not appear anywhere else in your submission.
If you would like the Journal to consider an interview with a philosopher or any other type of article, please send us a brief proposal.
We look forward to reading your work.
All the best,
A Priori, Editor-in-chief
