Professor Laura Howard is the Faculty Advisor and Director of Undergraduate Studies for Philosophy. She invites you to come visit and talk with her about your philosophy class experiences, selecting philosophy courses, doing an independent study, getting involved with the Undergraduate Philosophy Club, and preparing for post-graduate career options, graduate study or law school.

PPEL Majors:

If you would like to declare the PPEL major, or if you are a declared PPEL major and are a Freshman, Sophomore, or Transfer student, you should visit the SBS College Advisor, Sarah Williams to learn more about the PPEL major. Sarah answers your questions about university policies and procedures, general education, overall degree requirements, graduation, or any other questions you might have about the major.

Dr. Laura Howard is the Advanced Standing Faculty Advisor for PPEL and the PPEL Club. Once promoted to Advanced Standing, you will meet with her regularly to plan your progress through the major—including Track course selections, Honors Thesis, independent study, internship opportunities, and to prepare for post-graduate study, law school, or other career opportunities.
