David is a moral, legal, and political philosopher. His research broadly focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which our moral rights can be modified or suspended (with a special focus on rights to not be harmed), and applying these insights to important social and political institutions, including war, policing, immigration, criminal law, tort law, and contract law.
