My research lies in philosophy of physical science, broadly construed. With a focus on observational cosmology and extragalactic astrophysics, I am particularly interested in the philosophical issues related to modeling and methods used in practice.

I was born and raised in Tianjin, China. Before joining Arizona, I received my B.S in philosophy, physics, mathematics, and astronomy-physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018, and MSt in Philosophy of Physics from the University of Oxford in 2019.

I usually go by the name Cozette because my legal given name is hard to pronounce for English speakers. Nevertheless, it is actually an aptronym as it literally means celestial philosophy.
